Sunday, Day 1: Sonoma, California
The world famous town of Sonoma is the ideal place to begin your week long Wine Country Odyssey. Your luxurious hotel is perfectly located just blocks from the famous Sonoma Town Square – Birthplace of the “California Republic” and the California State Bear Flag.
Enjoy your first tastings of the fruit of the Sonoma Valley and it’s award winning wines at an evening reception.
This evening you’ll enjoy a luxurious Wine Country dining experience at a private wine country estate. Our private chef prepares exquisite cuisine and pairs them to perfection with world class Sonoma Valley wines.
Monday, Day 2: Discover Sonoma Valley, Sonoma, California
You day begins with a wine country breakfast at your hotel, followed by an exploration of the Sonoma Valley, home of some of the world’s best boutique and award winning wineries. You’ll wind your way thru the vineyards and meet winemakers who will host you on a behind the scenes tour, exclusive to our guests. Enjoy an elegant wine-paired lunch – Out in the Vineyards.
After lunch travel to another fruit of wine country – Olives. You’ll visit a private Olive Growing Estate, where you’ll tour the estate and stroll thru the olive orchards, tour the estate and learn about Olive Oil pressing, production and bottling.
This evening you’ll dine at one of Sonoma’s finest restaurants for an evening of fabulous food and wine!
Tuesday, Day 3: Pilgrimage to the land of the Pinot, Carneros Wine Region, California
After breakfast, start your day with bubbles from the beautiful Carneros Region. This legendary wine region runs along the northern shore of the San Francisco Bay, straddles across the southern ends of both Sonoma and Napa Valleys and is famous for producing world class, award winning Pinot Noirs.
Then you’ll take a pilgrimage to some of the finest Pinot Noir producers in the world, where you’ll taste thru current and library wines while enjoying sublime vistas over the vine covered, rolling hills of Carneros and across The Bay to San Francisco.
A picnic lunch will be served with wines produced from the estate!
After lunch we’ll journey to another world class winery and participate in a wine blending course, where you get to learn wine making skills, wine components and then chose your wine varietals to make you own wine blend! A truly special experience!
Late afternoon, return to Sonoma and lounge by the hotel pool or visit the local Farmer’s Market at the historic the Sonoma Square – where drinking alcohol is allowed as one of the few places in the country with grandfathered alcohol consumption laws.
Sample food from the local restaurants and create your own wine and food pairing. Feel like a Sonoma local as you listen to local musicians play into the evening while you stroll thru the produce stalls with locally grown fruit, vegetables, flowers and honey. Meet the farmers who bring the bounty of the Sonoma valley to this weekly Wine Country event.
The evening is yours to enjoy.
Wednesday, Day 4: Sojurn through Dry Creek Valley, Healdsburg, California
Today you’ll enjoy a sojurn thru the land of the Zinfandel – Dry Creek Valley. Explore the beautiful landscapes of this award winning, wine producing region! You’ll visit some of our favorite wineries. The day features a wonderful picnic lunch, of course, Out In The Vineyard!
After lunch, you’ll visit bucolic downtown Healdsburg and spend a few hours strolling the Plaza and shopping at the many boutiques and antique shops, looking for that special find or visiting the numerous tasting rooms that surround this world renown wine country destination.
You’ll return to Sonoma and enjoy dinner one of Sonoma’s finest restaurants for an evening of fabulous food, wine & friendship!
Thursday, Day 5: Sonoma Like A Local, Sonoma, California
The morning is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Today you can take a magical flight over Wine Country with the optional balloon ride or spend a leisurely morning with breakfast in bed or like a local, with coffee and house made pastries at Basque Boulangerie Cafe, located right on the Sonoma Square.
Then spend the morning strolling the square and shopping at the many boutiques or visit Sonoma State Historic Park, home to the Sonoma Mission San Francisco Solano, the last and northernmost Spanish Mission, established in 1823 – Birthplace of The California Bear Repulic.
In the afternoon, enjoy a private culinary adventure, where YOU become the chef at Ramekins Sonoma Valley Culinary School, where you will learn how to create casual and fun gatherings with easy, yet innovative food dishes paired with unique wines from the Wine Country, followed by a dinner of your creations, shared with with your fellow Out In the Vineyard travelers.
Friday, Day 6: Sonoma, California
Awaken and enjoy breakfast at your leisure at your hotel before your departure back home or spend the weekend in The City By The Bay, San Francisco.
