Rhode Island Pride: June

The purpose Rhode Island Pride Illuminated Night Parade is to promote a positive and safe environment to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ community. Participants are to conduct themselves in a manner that is positive and respectful for all. Participants are asked to show respect for all genders, ages, races, cultures, faiths and sexual orientations and be aware that children will be in attendance during the parade.

Rhode Island Parade was founded in 1976 with its mission to create opportunities for integrating and promoting visibility for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community, to promote equal rights and diversity through public education and the arts, to provide safe opportunities and venues for people to come out and express and celebrate their sexual identities
