ITINERARY :

Day 1: Welcome
Welcome to Naples, the Vesuvian City. This is the home of the best pizza in the world and some of the best looking men too! Upon arrival at the hotel, you will receive your Italy Gay Travels welcome pack. In the evening join your fellow Gay Travelers and your tour hosts, Sergio and Kendall, for a Complimentary Welcome Pizza Dinner. Pizza has been granted UNESCO world heritage status: we will make sure you taste one of the best pizza in the world! During the night, we will all get to meet each other and have a full briefing on the adventure that lies ahead. Afterwards we will do a spot of bar hopping at the Gay Bars of the city: the first Drink is on us!

Day 2: Naples
After breakfast the Gay Naples Tour group will meet to join a guided tour of Naples. We will visit famous landmarks such as the Royal Palace, the Spanish Quarters and the Maschio Angioino. After lunch we reconvene to reach Castel dell’Ovo, a seaside castle whose name derives from a legend about the Roman poet Virgil and the oldest standing fortification in Naples. From here you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and admire Mount Vesuvius. From Castel dell’Ovo we will reach Posillipo, the romantic residential quarter of the city located along the northern coast famous for its houses by the water.

Later in the afternoon we will enjoy a tour around the famous Piazza Bellini, a bustling Piazza in the center of the city where you will find a multitude of gay friendly restaurants, cafes, and bars and the heart of the Gay night life of this city.

Day 3: Naples
Today, after breakfast, we will pay a visit to the Phlegraean Fields, a large volcanic area lying mostly underwater. The area comprises of 24 craters and volcanic edifices. There will be plenty of walking so you will need a rest. No problem, the next stop is a relaxing bath in a thermal area near the fields.

In the afternoon we will visit Procida, one of the Phlegraean Islands, where we will walk along its beautiful streets. Returning to Naples, you will be free to spend the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure. But join us for a complimentary typical dinner in Spaccanapoli: we will make sure you have a taste of the best South-Italian food around.

Day 4: Naples & Capri
After breakfast, it is time to pack. We will make our way to the Port. Stepping on-board a Hydrofoil we will reach the island of Capri, the second stop of our Gay Naples Tour,  in style. Capri has long been a hotspot for European gay life from the early 20th century. After checking in to our hotel we will join a guided tour of the island. First stop Anacapri where you will have the chance to visit the famous Villa San Michele and the Church of San Michele. Your tour continues to the center of Capri, followed by a short walking tour of the famous Piazzetta where you will discover the narrow streets with its glamour boutiques. We will absorb Villa Jovis from the inside and the Augustus Gardens with a fantastic view of the Faraglioni cliffs. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we visit the Blue Grotto (entrance fee included). In the evening we enjoy aperitifs as we soak up this breathtaking scenery. Enjoy Dinner as you please.

Day 5: Capri
Today is a free day: spend the time as you wish and explore the island at your own pace. Your hosts Sergio and Kendall will be around to offer advice and guidance as needed.

Day 6: Capri & Sorrento
After breakfast, we will transfer via hydrofoil to Sorrento. During the first part of the day we will visit Sorrento’s city center and its special atmosphere. Enjoy the sky, sea and the smell of its world renowned lemons making this city unique in the world. We will explore its alleys, churches and shops, each which have a story to tell. Free time in the afternoon to enjoy the city as you please: overnight in Sorrento.

Day 7: Almalfi
In the morning, we will enjoy a private transfer to Amalfi where we will enjoy a walk downtown. In the afternoon we will visit Ravello, a town situated above the Amalfi Coast which is a popular tourist destination due to its scenic beauty. From there you’ll enjoy the beautiful panorama and the sight of Maiori and Minori, two little towns above the Amalfi Coast. In the evening enjoy a Complimentary typical Farewell Dinner on us, before making our way back to Sorrento.

Day 8 See you soon!
After breakfast, our Gay Naples, Capri and Amalfi Coast Tour is over! We all say goodbye (no tears hopefully) until the next time!
