let’s go retro!  join us at the birthplace of land shuffleboard, and the largest shuffleboard club in the world – right here in st. pete!

o&a picks up the cues for this return to a classic that hit its zenith in the 1950s.  with its focus on enjoying the outdoors, team play, strategy, and good old fashioned fun, shuffleboard captured the heart of thousands in its heyday, and continues to draw those of all ages to the courts.

the st. pete shuffleboard club is a true gem!  established in 1924 and located in downtown st. pete next to mirror lake, it was the origin of land shuffleboard and birthplace of modern shuffleboard rules.  it is the world’s largest shuffleboard club, reaching its apex of over 5000 members in the 50s.  while membership declined in the following decades, the club has recently seen a resurgence in both membership and the sport’s popularity.  with the courts newly resurfaced and kept in excellent condition by the club, today this venue stands both as a beautiful historical landmark and a wonderful place for the community to gather for fun.

join o&a for our friday night shuffle!  we’ll pay homage to the club’s golden years, stylin’ out in 50s shuffleboard fashion!  we’ll have food and music, while we challenge one another to some friendly competitive play!

your registration fee includes all shuffleboard equipment for the evening, 2 1/2 hours of shuffleboard play, pizza, and a donation for the st. pete shuffleboard club for its continued historic preservation.

we’ll meet up at 6:30 pm for mingling and pizza, then get a short introduction to the game instruction so that we can begin play at 7 pm. don’t forget to wear your best 50s shuffleboard attire!

pizza will be provided by Tour De Pizza.
