Watch your step, folks… the link above takes you to the E-BOOK! Re-do the search if you want a paperback or hardback edition.

    Hey Robert!

Well, I am back from vacation and hope to make the next book club meeting. I just have to get the book ordered now.

    Cheers!

This book was GREAT! I just finished it and laughed SO many times through it! I’m completely bummed that I’ll be missing the meeting again this month. I’ve got to travel to GA, TX & Canada during the last two weeks of August into early Sept.

Hopefully I can come back for the September meeting….no travel plans for the end of the month so far!

Lemme know what book 6 is!

PS: If anyone hasn’t gotten the book and wants it, let me know and I can get my copy to ya!

    Hey Everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying the book!! I’m re-reading and laughing as much as the first time.

We will be posting some discussion questions this weekend.

Help me by letting me know what you think about the story, characters, etc.! Let’s get some chatter going about this wonderful novel by Steve Kluger.

Also, is anyone interested in facilitating? Let me know!

Finally, PLEASE invite your friends to attend — we want to keep participating up! See you all soon!

    Regards
    Will

  11. robert says:

Hey Tony! The info posted after the book selection, however, it you scroll back up to the ‘when, where, what…etc.’ section of post you will see it is taking place in downtown St Pete at Oasis Bistro & Lounge. Map, directions and details are there too. Look forward to seeing you!

    • Tony T. says:

Thanks Rob – I saw that but for some reason thought that was the old when & where. Just wasn’t paying attention. Thanks for clarifying and look forward to seeing everyone this evening!

  12. willfreshwater says:

OK Gang! Here are some sample questions for tomorrow night. PLEASE bring your own questions, ideas, thoughts and insights!

    1. What is the significance of the title — “Almost Like Being in Love” – (remember the title is ALWAYS significant to the author!)

    2. Discuss the author’s writing style – use of articles, memos, journal entries, letters, etc. – rather than a simple narrative. Does it work? If so, why?

    3. How does Travis and his impossible quest to find his one true love affect the other characters in the story?

    4. Why are Craig and Travis soulmates?

    5. Why aren’t Craig and Clay soulmates?

    6. Discuss the similarities between Noah and Travis and the roles they each play in Craig’s life?

    7. How do the other characters in the book support the story line? How is friendship a central theme?

    8. What is the glue that binds Travis and Craig together – in the beginning or the book and then brings them back together at the end? Do they belong together?

    9. Be prepared to read aloud your favorite lines – and be prepared to laugh.

    Cheers!
    Will

  13. Miguel Santana says:

Ken and I will be attending.

  14. Jim Huston says:

    I plan on attending.

  15. Will –

    1. Thanks for the questions, which are great!

    2. You’re awesome!

    3. Can’t wait to see everyone!

    Gary

PS I realize I use too many exclamation marks, generally. But this time, I think they’re warranted.

Have something to say?
